Carla marino was born in Finale Ligure,Marina in 1952.She currently lives and works in San Lorenzo al Mare.
She has loved drawing and painting since she was a child.She attended the "Liceo" (Italian Secondary School) specialised in art subjects in savona,then specialised in figurative arts in an Art Institute in Torino.Her first one-woman exhibition was prepared in 1969 in Noli di Savona,in Saint John' s deconsecrated Church and on that occasion critics said that Carla Marino's works reminded Goya's painting style.The exhibited paintings showed mainly faces and figures.In 2003,during a great ceremony at the Principe hotel in Venice,the artist was awarded the Prize of the Biennial Exhibition of Modern Art in Venice-San Marco on the basis of the following reason: a warm painting style,full of colours and noises,of matter and of life;an expressionism where nature shines in its most explosive forms,while elements are separated against any rules of life experience,thus givin rise to a fantastic magic.
