MINUS SPACE is curated by Phong Bui, artist, Brooklyn Rail publisher, and P.S.1. Curatorial Advisor. The exhibition features 54 artists from 14 countries affliated with MINUS SPACE curatorial project, located in Brooklyn, NY, and marks its the 5th anniversary. For P.S.1, Minus Space and Phong Bui have brought together 54 artists working internationally, ranging from Australia to Brazil to New York City, for a dense and playful show of reductive art* in the Cafe' and Basement Boiler Room, two of the museum's most unique and intriguing exhibition spaces.

MINUS SPACE was founded in 2003 by artists Matthew Deleget and Rossana Martinez.
MINUS SPACE curatorial project presents innovative reductive art by international artists working in all media. It presents exhibitions in its Brooklyn project space, as well as curatorial projects in other venues nationally and internationally. MINUS SPACE publishes an online log profiling reductive art on the international level, provides a directory of collaborating artists, a comprehensive chronology of events concerning the development of reductive art on the international level, and a comprehensive directory of links to related web sites.
*Reductive art is generally characterized by its use of plainspoken materials, monochromatic or limited color, geometry and pattern, repetition and seriality, precise craftsmanship, and intellectual rigor.
