Hunsaker/Schlesinger Fine Art is pleased to announce Rashell George's first solo exhibition of paintings. Starting with found imagery, Rashell George removes the familiar landscape, replacing it with suggestive textural elements.  Figures interact with the painted space as if the original landscape were present.  Although the technique is minimal, often created primarily with textured white paint, the effect intensifies these familiar settings to the point of being uncanny.  There is the sense of memory; certain details appearing in sharp relief while others fall away.
