> DESCRIPTION

A two part exhibition that focuses on the paintings of Dresden. In the first part the two most famous Dresden painters, Caspar David Freidrich (1774-1840) and Gerhartd Richter (born 1932) are on display. The second part of the exhibition presents 13 works that spans the time between the two painters. These works will be interspersed throughout the Getty's painting galleries. This exhibiton was curated in collaboration with Galerie Neue Meister.
