If you literally want to step inside one of Philippe Gronon’s photographs, take the freight elevator at 526 West 26th Street—its epic, battered doors are depicted in his exhibition, and if you alight on the 2nd floor, you’ll be just down the hall from Nicole Klagsbrun Gallery.
