![]() Stay Calm, Walk Home, and Induce Low Stress SUSANNE VIELMETTER Berlin Projects
Holzmarkstrasse 15/18, Bogen 48, 10179 Berlin, Germany
September 6, 2008 - October 25, 2008
The artist presents a small sculpture consisting of three plaster figures and several rocks situated on a mirrored plexi disc. The disc is supported by wooden walls featuring posters of birds and tractors. The sculpture functions as the central anchor point for a series of works that are creating an expanded field for this work. Featured are a stainless steel water fountain, a wooden geometric sculpture that resembles a shelter and a series of wall elements. Alice Kőnitz's sculptures describe the intersections between body and space - they explore connotations of public and private architecture in a close relationship to the human body.
